Thursday Night Press
Thursday Night Press is an imprint of DX Varos Publishing dedicated to promoting local Colorado authors.
Colorado has a rich community of writers, and the press is based in Denver. Thursday Night Press exists so that those writers have a home close to their readers, their bookstores and their libraries. It works like the parent imprint: authors pay nothing, books are fully edited and produced, and every title is distributed to bookstores and online retailers.
How to submit
If you are a Colorado author and would like to have your book considered for publication, please follow the submission guidelines for DX Varos but make it clear in your query that you are in Colorado. Then we will consider whether your book is more appropriate for the DX Varos or the Thursday Night imprint.
What we hope to see
Fiction with a strong voice and a sense of place is what we like best: mountain towns, Front Range cities, ranch country and the people who live there. Local writers are also expected to take part in promotion, with readings, signings and events in their own communities, because that is where an independent book finds its readers.

Why a local imprint
Regional publishing gives writers something a national list cannot: shelf space in the bookstores and libraries of their own community, a place at local festivals and a press that can attend their launch in person. Readers, in turn, get stories that reflect the landscape and the people around them, and a reason to support their neighborhood booksellers. Thursday Night Press aims to make that connection easy.
